Passenger car crash kills 2, injures 22 in Philippines

MANILA, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and 22 others injured after a jeepney crashed into a roadside tree in Batangas province, south of Manila, police said Sunday. Police said the accident happened at 4:45 p.m. local time on Saturday when the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a descending curve in Lobo town.
