The House committee on basic education and culture has approved a bill that seeks to strengthen the protection of public school teachers and personnel against allegations of child abuse as well as institute support mechanisms for them.   House Bill 58 or the "Teacher Protection Act of 2016," principally authored by ACT-Teachers Reps. Binay urges Duterte admin to finally address ‘endo’ in gov’t agencies

Senator Nancy Binay has called on the administration to address the issue of contractualization among government agencies. Binay made the remark on Thursday in light of the passage of the "anti-endo" bill at the House of Representatives. Coconut farmer leaders believe that next week's Congress bicameral committee meeting on the coco levy will decide the life or death of a levy beneficial to them. Lacson sees implementation of national ID system this year

    The national ID system may be implemented this year after the bill proposing it hurdled bicameral conference, Senator Panfilo Lacson said on Wednesday. Lacson said the bicameral committee has agreed to adopt the Senate's version of the Philippine Identification System Act with minor amendments and suggestions from the House of Representatives.
