The proposed bill for the reimposition of the death penalty in the Philippines may pass into law this year, but only if to punish high level drug traffickers, Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III said on Thursday. Sotto, who recently assumed Senate leadership, said the measure has more chance at the chamber if it aims to stop high level drug trafficking.
