MANILA, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- The Philippine population is projected to reach 138.67 million by 2055, assuming that the total fertility rate (TFR) of 1.9 children per woman in 2021 will be sustained until 2055, according to a Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) study released Wednesday night. Infectious pertussis disease rising in Philippines with 54 deaths
MANILA, April 9 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines' Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday said that the contagious bacterial disease called pertussis continues to spread in the country, noting that 54 children have died from the respiratory disease.
