Druggie yields P400K shabu

A female drug suspect was arrested and more than P400,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in an anti-illegal drugs operation in Pasig City Friday evening. The 29-year-old woman was identified only as alias Kukay, a resident of Barangay Bambang, Pasig City. She was nabbed in a buy-bust operation conducted by joint operatives of the Pasig City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit, Bambang Police Sub-Station 3 and Station Special Weapons and Tactics Team at Villa Reyes Street, Barangay Bambang at about 7:30 p.m. Confiscated from the suspect were one piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet and one piece of knot-tied transparent plastic containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 65 grams with an estimated street value of P442,000, P200 buy-bust money, ten pieces of one-thousand bill, and a black pouch. Gun-for-hire group members nabbed in Bohol, P300K shabu seized

CEBU CITY, Philippines – Members of a suspected gun-for-hire group that is based in Bohol landed in jail after they were caught by authorities during a buy-bust operation early on Thursday morning, October 19,2023. The anti-illegal drugs operation was made in Purok 1, Barangay Danao in Panglao, Bohol at around 6:30 a.m. Two of the arrested persons were identified as Regie Abundo and his alleged cohort, Christian Manayaga.  Also arrested were their “associates” who were identified as Bridget Rose Olaivar and Princess Vanna Cutaran. Meanwhile, two minors were also rescued during the buy-bust operation. Police described the suspects as high-value individuals (HVI) who are part of an “emerging” gun-for-hire group. Authorities recovered from their possession 55 grams of suspected shabu worth at least P374,000; a .9mm pistol loaded with 9 live ammunitions; and a KG-9 sub machine gun with 19 live ammunitions. The buy-bust operation was organized by the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU)/ Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Bohol Police Provincial Office together with the Panglao Municipal Police Station and Dauis Municipal Police Station. Gun-for-hire group Police Lieutenant Colonel Gerard Ace Pelare, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7), said that based on their investigation, the arrested individuals were part of a gun-for-hire group. He said that the highly-organized group may have been responsible for previous drug-related shooting incidents in Bohol province. “Sa atong investigation nga gihimo, kini nga grupo na-involve ni sila sa mga drug-related shootings in Bohol previously. So, atoning gitan-aw. What we are going to do is we conduct ballistic examination sa armas nga nakuha, atong i-match didto sa mga previous shooting incidents,” he said. Drug peddler captured in buy-bust ops yields P374K worth of shabu

A drug peddler was nabbed in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Thursday. Quezon City Police District District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) Officer-in-Charge P/Maj. Wennie Cale identified the suspect as Emilio Tayao, 25 years old, a resident of Brgy. Bagong Pagasa, Quezon City. Cale said the DDEU operatives, in coordination with PDEA-RO-NCR, conducted a buy-bust operation at 12:30 a.m. on 19 October 2023 in front of No. 125 Warayan St., Sitio San Roque, Brgy. Bagong Pagasa, Quezon City, after a concerned citizen reported the illegal drug activity of the suspect. A police officer acted as a poseur buyer bought P20,000 worth of shabu from the suspect, and at the given pre-arranged signal, he was arrested. Confiscated from the suspect were 55 grams of shabu valued at P374,000, a coin purse, a cellular phone, an identification card, and the buy-bust money. MIMAROPA logs lower crime rate

The Police Regional Office in MIMAROPA region reported on Tuesday that the crime rate in the region has dropped by 20 percent compared to the same period last year following the three-day regionwide Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations. The operations highlighted the intensified campaign against wanted persons, campaign against loose firearms, anti-illegal drugs and anti-illegal gambling activity. PRO-4B chief Brig. Gen. Joel Doria said that based on the data from the Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division, they have recorded a 20.15 percent decline in the region’s crime volume with 31 crime incidents recorded from 28 to 30 September compared to 39 in the same period last year. Of the total crimes recorded, the Peace and Order Indicator recorded a significant decrease of 44.12 percent or 15 from 34 in 2022 to 19 in 2023. He said that during the three-day SACLEO, there were 35 persons arrested which includes 26 in the campaign against wanted persons with four most wanted persons nabbed from the provincial and municipal levels. He added that five drug personalities were apprehended during the conduct of four separate anti-illegal drug operations and the confiscation of approximately 8.68 grams of shabu and 13 grams of marijuana, with an estimated value amounting to P172,372. In the operation against loose firearms has recorded a total of 10 confiscated, recovered, surrendered firearms while six were turned over for safekeeping as authorities. P23.6-B narcotics seized in PBBM term

Authorities have seized P23.62 billion worth of narcotics across the country since the start of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said on Monday. The latest PDEA data also showed 61,269 were arrested, including 4,174 high-value targets, during 44,338 anti-illegal drugs operations from 1 July 2022 to September 30 this year. It said a total of P23.62 billion worth of illegal drugs which includes over 3,000 kilograms of methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as shabu, 25.78 kilograms of cocaine, 43,940 pieces of ecstasy, and 2,739.93 kilograms of marijuana were apprehended. Authorities likewise dismantled 683 drug dens and one clandestine shabu laboratory during the same period. At least 27,748 out of 42,046 barangays (villages) have been declared drug-cleared as of September 30 while 7,785 are still drug-affected. The barangays with drug-cleared status were issued certifications by members of the oversight committee on the barangay drug-clearing program. In a related development,  Quezon City Police District Director Brg. Gen. Redrico Maranan on Monday said that 817 drug suspects and confiscated P41,124,151.60 worth of illegal drugs in a series of buy-bust operations conducted for the third quarter of this year in the city Maranan also said that a total of 458 anti-drug operations were conducted by the different police stations and units of QCPD which resulted in the confiscation of 5,699.72 grams of shabu, 18,442.13 grams of marijuana, and 158 grams of Kush or high-grade marijuana. On top of these were the operations conducted by the Novaliches Police Station 4 under Lt. Col. Jerry Castillo that led to the arrest of 74 drug personalities and the confiscation of P9,363,399.60 worth of illegal drugs followed by the District Drug Enforcement Unit under officer-in-charge Maj. Wennie Ann Cale who apprehended 29 drug peddlers and confiscated PHP8,851,200.00 worth of shabu and marijuana. Likewise, the Kamuning PS 10 under Lt. Col. Robert Amoranto confiscated P4,017,304.00 and arrested 78 drug suspects while the Talipapa PS 3 under Lt. Col. Morgan Aguilar nabbed 53 drug suspects and seized P3,962,680 worth of illegal drugs. Drug suspect with 2,454 grams of shabu worth P16-M nabbed in Pasay

Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested a man with 2,454.85 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, valued at about P16 million, in Pasay City. The NBI identified the suspect as Raymond Darag Dulla, who, after his arrest last 14 September, was charged with illegal transport of prohibited drugs under Section 5 of Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The seized drugs were subjected to forensic examination which determined the drugs as shabu. Dulla was subjected to a drug test which found him positive for marijuana and shabu. It said that Dulla was arrested during an interdiction operation conducted by NBI National Capital Region (NBI-NCR) last 14 September along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City. Confiscated from Dulla were tape dispensers containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu. The operation stemmed from information that on 14 September 2023, Dulla would be transporting shabu concealed in tape dispensers placed inside a brown box. “Additional information revealed that Subject will be renting a taxi that will traverse the service road near Kenny Roger’s along Roxas Boulevard and Heritage Hotel in Pasay City at around 8:00 in the evening.” Agents of NBI-NCR proceeded to the area where the taxi was supposed to pass, and after spotting the taxi boarded by Dulla, the agents discretely followed it. The NBI-NCR operatives flagged down the taxi but the taxi tried to accelerate but was eventually blocked by the vehicles of the operatives before it could escape. Woman in drug trade nabbed

A 40-year-old woman wanted for selling illegal drugs was nabbed by the authorities in a manhunt operation in Binangonan, Rizal Friday afternoon. The accused, identified as Edilyn Cestina y Gapole, a resident of Sitio Kalawaan, Barangay Darangan, Binangonan, was collared inside her residence at about 2:55 p.m. Friday. She was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Anna Francesca M. Limbo of Binangonan Regional Trial Court Branch 69 for violation of Section 11 of Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Lady pusher nabbed in drug sting

Operatives of the Manila Police District District Special Operating Unit arrested a notorious lady drug pusher in Isla Puting Bato in Tondo during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday night. Police identified the suspect as  Mary Ann Evaresto y Mejica a.k.a Maan, 27 years old , female, single, Filipino, jobless, and a resident of No. 457, Area B, Gate 10, Parola Compound, Barangay 20, Tondo, Manila. According to PMAJ Rommel Purisima, acting chief, DSOU, the suspect was reportedly a member of the dreaded Sagnip Criminal Gang responsible for a series of holdups and robberies in the vicinity. QC drug peddler falls in shabu bust

A drug peddler yielded five grams of shabu when Quezon City police pounced on him in a buy-bust operation Sunday morning. Quezon City Police District Drug Enforcement Unit chief P/Maj.
