Nonito Donaire Jr. gives away 100 homes to Iloilo typhoon victims

In 2009, Nonito Donaire Jr., then the WBA interim flyweight world champion, donated a million pesos to a housing project for victims of Typhoon Ondoy.  Nine years later, Donaire is at it again as he flew to Iloilo earlier this week to help turn over a hundred homes to typhoon victims, alongside english businessman Greg Secker and his foundation. In 2013, Typhoon Yolanda ravaged the Philippines and one of the hardest hit was Lemery, Iloilo. Two years later, Secker and his foundation launched the Build a House, Build a Home project in Iloilo. Now, nearly five years after the devastation of Typhoon Yolanda, it's time to give a hundred families new homes, and Donaire will be there to witness the turnover proceedings.  Donaire is set to begin training camp soon as he's scheduled to take on Irishman Carl Frampton in Belfast later this April.   .....»»
