MACAU --- Ben Mbala and the Thunders are through to the semis. Samsung Seoul dominated the Shandong Golden Stars Wednesday at the Studio City Event Center here, picking up an 85-73 victory in the Asia League's Terrific 12 tournament. The Thunders swept Group D, eliminating the Golden Stars and the Fubon Braves in the process. Seoul will meet the Guangzhou Long Lions in the semifinals this weekend. That matchup is a rematch from the Super 8 two months ago. Guangzhou won that game. The Thunders were firing on all cylinders to start, dropping 32 points right in the opening period. The Koreans were never threatened in the second half as they led by as many as 24. Glenn Cosey and Ben Mbala scored 21 and 19 points respectively for the Thunders while top local Lee Gwan Hee added another 17 points on 58 percent shooting.
