Bongbong: Critics should see bid to abolish PCGG as cue to ‘move on’

  Answering questions on the issue of his father's strongman rule, former senator Bongbong Marcos said that the proposed abolition of the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) is proof that their critics should "move on." Marcos was explaining to reporters during a forum in Quezon City on Friday the reason behind the comments of her sister, Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos who asked people to move on from the issues that have hounded their family. Gov’t still trying to recover Marcos ill-gotten wealth — Palace

The Philippine government is still pursuing efforts to recover the ill-gotten wealth amassed during the 20-year Marcos regime, Malacaang said on Wednesday. Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said efforts to recover the wealth are still ongoing through the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG). "Efforts to recover any ill-gotten wealth continue through the Philippine Commission on Good Government," Roque said in a statement.
