Passport data still in gov’t hands, DFA tells privacy commission

In a letter to the National Privacy Commission (NPC), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said that the passport data was still with the government, despite earlier claims that a contractor "made off" with the information.   NPC shared a copy of this letter to reporters on Wednesday.
