CBS’ ‘Big Bang Theory’ has season high as end nears

NEW YORK, United States --- As the time approaches to say goodbye to Sheldon, Amy, Leonard, Penny and the gang, the CBS comedy "The Big Bang Theory" hit a season high in popularity last week. Not everyone gets to go out on top, and the cast and crew of "The Big Bang Theory" gathered last week for a celebratory ceremony. The Burbank, California, studio on the Warner Bros. lot where the show is filmed was dedicated to the comedy. While there for a champagne toast, creator Chuck Lorre credited the crew for never "mai...Keep on reading: CBS’ ‘Big Bang Theory’ has season high as end nears.....»»

The latest episode of "Survivor: NBA" was quite a cliffhanger. All kinds of intrigue. A hefty dose of griping. Some thoroughly unexpected plot twists. Now that's a reality show worth watching. "They always catch me by surprise," said Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse, whose team had a major role in the plotline. "There's so much going on all the time." Despite complaints from the likes of Kevin Durant and LeBron James, the league's off-the-court drama leading up to Thursday's trade deadline was a welcome respite from the long, sometimes dreary regular season --- enhancing all the compelling story lines (and there are plenty) while highlighting a system that really works we...Keep on reading: Column: NBA trade deadline provides best reality show around.....»»

Netflix’s ‘Kingdom’ is the final stage of onscreen zombie evolution

Zombies had taken over the world---the entertainment world, that is. In its heyday, AMC's TV show "The Walking Dead" was the world's coolest, most watched TV show, sparking water-cooler conversations and Reddit discussions the day after each episode aired. The show began airing in 2010, and at that time, zombies were everywhere. It wasn't always like this. When the late great George Romero unleashed the first "Night of the Living Dead" movie in 1968, it was a black-and-white garage film made on a shoestring budget starring his friends. That film terrified and electrified audiences with its gore and metaphorical tackling of race issues. It spawned a technically superior sequel, "Da...Keep on reading: Netflix’s ‘Kingdom’ is the final stage of onscreen zombie evolution.....»»

Tom Hanks WWII project ‘Greyhound’ repositions for 2020 arrival

War drama "Greyhound" has taken a big step back from its planned March 2019 release and is now expected May 2020. Tom Hanks' maritime biopic "Greyhound" will be going up against comedy comeback "Legally Blonde 3" in May 2020 instead of the Jordan Peele thriller "Us" in March 2019. The movie revolves around a fictional episode set during World War II's Battle of the Atlantic and, specifically, a naval commander named Ernest Krause (not to be confused with an 1890s United States Navy officer of the same name). It is based on the 1955 C. S. Forester novel "The Good Shepherd" (again, not to be confused with the Matt Damon and Robert De Niro historical thriller of the same name),...Keep on reading: Tom Hanks WWII project ‘Greyhound’ repositions for 2020 arrival.....»»
