PBA: Miranda fined P30k, suspended 1 game

Mike Miranda’s latest shenanigans have been met with strong consequences right off the bat. For his late hit on Phoenix’s Justin Chua late in TNT’s overtime loss last Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo, Miranda has been fined P30,000 and suspended one game by PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial. With the Fuel Masters closing in on an overtime victory, Miranda practically punched Chua in the stomach following a made basket. The new TNT forward was promptly hit with a disqualifying foul and was ejected. On Monday, the Commissioner’s office slapped Miranda with a hefty fine and an automatic suspension. Miranda will now miss the KaTropa’s next game Wednesday against NLEX, his former team. TNT is sitting at 0-2 in the 2019 Philippine Cup.   — Follow this writer on Twitter, @paullintag8.....»»

The government estimates China's population will peak at 1.442 billion in 2029 before beginning to decline the year after.
