Jones Cup: Ateneo comeback falls short vs Canada

Ateneo gave undefeated 3D Global Sports of Canada a scare before falling, 86-78, in the 2018 William Jones Cup at Xinzhuang Gymnasium in Taiwan. The Blue Eagles just came up short in their comeback bid where they rallied from 27 points down in the first half. Led by guard Matt Nieto and Thirdy Ravena, Ateneo pulled to within six twice in the final one minute and 15 seconds. The Eagles, however, just didn't have enough time left complete their comeback as the Canadians improved to 4-0 in the nine-team tournament. Scientists hatch egg of rare Palawan turtle

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY --- The critically endangered Palawan forest turtle has successfully hatched under human care, conservationists said on Sunday, raising hopes that its dwindling population can be reversed. Illegal wildlife trade and destruction of Palawan's forests had diminished the population of the forest turtles (Siebenrockiella leytensis) to at least 6,000 in the province as of 2015. That is no longer the case now in the NCAA 94 Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Knights trot out their big frontline for the first time in the tournament when they take on University of Perpetual Help on Friday at the Filoil Flying V Centre. Nigerian tower Prince Eze puts that big frontline to the test, however, at 4:00 PM and all of the action will be on S+A, S+A HD, and livestream. With Larry Muyang, Christian Fajarito, Christian Balagasay, Jeo Ambohot, and even Bong Quinto, Letran now has all the pieces to match up with just about anybody.
