DFA monitoring situation in Iran after attack on military parade

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) started monitoring the situation in Iran after gunmen attacked a military parade on Saturday, killing at least 2r people and wounding more than 50 others. According to a DFA statement, the Philippine Embassy in Tehran had started gathering more information on the attack, which that took place in the southern city of Ahvaz, 820 kilometers southwest of Tehran near the border with Iraq. Ambassador Wilfredo Santos said gunmen wearing military uniforms staged the attack at around 9:00 a.m. local time. MACAU --- The semifinals of the Asia League's Terrific 12 tournament is set. Japan's Nagoya Diamond Dolphins clinched the last Final Four slot Thursday at the Studio City Event Center here, holding off China's Zhejiang Guangsha Lions, 79-71. Both the Dolphins and the Lions beat Taiwan's Yulon Luxgen Dinos in their first game, setting up this do-or-die showdown. Nagoya was on top of everything throughout, though a strong second half from the Dolphins took the fight out of the Lions. Up by only four at the break, the Dolphins slowly pulled away in the third, opening up a 13-point lead to take full control. Markeith Cummings led Nagoya with 25 points and nine rebounds while Craig Brackins added another 16 points and 10 boards. Shuto Ando finished with 12 points. The Dolphins will face the Ryukyu Golden Kings in an all-Japan semis. Both teams actually faced each other in the first round of the previous B.League playoffs. The Golden Kings won that series.
