JAPI offers PMS payment schedule
Jetour Auto Philippines Inc., renowned for its distribution of Jetour vehicles in the country, is on a mission to enrich the car ownership experience for its customers by introducing a more transparent aftersales service. Bolstered by the company's investments in aftersales training and the technical proficiency of its dealerships, the distributor is poised to roll out an innovative six-year Preventive Maintenance Service payment plan — a proposal formulated with its customers' budgets in mind. The PMS payment plan, together with Jetour’s Travel+ philosophy, focuses on making driving and journeys memorable experiences for owners. In a larger context, it is part of the company's drive to improve the car ownership experience by making aftersales service, including PMS, a key element of its strategy. Jetour has devised a detailed expenditure chart that covers the first six years of owning a vehicle. The chart, which is part of the PMS plan, allows current and prospective Jetour owners to anticipate and plan for their vehicle's servicing needs. Eryx Guiang, the aftersales director of Jetour Auto Philippines, stressed on the company's objective, stating: “Jetour Auto Philippines aims to position its prices at very affordable rates for every Filipino to make car ownership a hassle-free experience.” Guiang added: “Through this structured service schedule, Jetour owners can plan their expenses based on the servicing needs of their vehicles. JAPI will be open with our service rates which will have reasonable pricing. Moreover, PMS parts availability will be assured so that every Jetour vehicle on the road will receive the care and attention needed for reliable and worry-free driving.” Owning a Jetour vehicle is further simplified by its maintenance plan. With only two Periodic Maintenance Servicing required per year and split into 5,000-kilometer intervals, this plan ensures that the vehicles maintain their performance and reliability over the long haul. The service calendar is designed to ensure that engine oil is always at its peak performance level, thereby offering optimal protection and lubrication for the engine’s internal parts against daily wear and tear, whether in traffic or on long drives. Additionally, the regular PMS assures that every vehicle’s components are appropriately checked or replaced, thus guaranteeing the longevity of Jetour vehicles. The initial year of ownership includes two servicing schedules at 5,000km and 10,000km. Both intervals include oil changes, with an additional comprehensive inspection of various car components by trained technicians at the 10,000km mark. This comprehensive service in the first year would cost an owner around P8,000 plus. From the second year onwards, PMS expands to include the replacement of spark plugs, cabin filter, Automatic Transmission Fluid, coolant, and other fluids at the 20,000km interval. The cost in the second year for the 15,000km and 20,000km service intervals is slightly over P15,000. Over the next four years, owners will budget between P8,000 and P22,000 per year for oil changes, various part replacements, and general PMS. The overall expenditure over the first six years would be approximately P75,000, or just a bit more than P1,000 a month. Shipping industry must adapt to new technology, workforce training – PBBM
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has called for a sustainable future for the shipping and seafaring industries, as the sector undergoes a major transformation. Speaking at the International Chamber of Shipping and the Filipino Shipowners Association, Marcos said that the shipping industry must adapt to new technologies and fuels, and invest in a highly qualified workforce. "We must come together to envision and shape the future of the industry and global trade for the next 25 years," Marcos said. "We can do this by identifying the skills required for the new generation of ships, discussing education and training requirements, and committing to a fair and just transition to build a future-ready and resilient shipping industry,” he added. Marcos also highlighted the Philippines' maritime heritage and said that the government would continue to strengthen maritime-related policies and protect seafarers. "We are also grateful for the opportunities that our seafarers have created and are thankful for the wealth that they have brought home," Marcos said. "I thus ensure everyone that this government will continue strengthening maritime-related policies and protecting our seafarers and their loved ones." Marcos reiterated his directive to the Maritime Industry Authority and the Commission on Higher Education to work closely with the shipping industry on the upskilling and reskilling of Filipino seafarers to prepare them for the shift of ocean-going vessels from using conventional fuel sources to green ammonia between 2030 to 2040. However, Marcos is confident that the shipping industry can overcome these challenges and emerge stronger. "I am confident that, with all of us working together, we will navigate the turbulent tides ahead and chart a course towards a stronger and sustainable tomorrow for seafarers and the global community," Marcos said. He also enjoined all the national government agencies, multilateral organizers, and private stakeholders to work together in identifying strategies to ensure the availability of skilled workers to fulfill the requirements of the shipping industry. He concluded his speech by saying that he is confident that, with all of us working together, we will navigate the turbulent tides ahead and chart a course towards a stronger and sustainable tomorrow for seafarers and the global community.
