Matrices still available as LTFRB reviews of jeepney fare hike

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will continue to distribute fare matrices to jeepney drivers pending its review of the fare hike that it approved recently. LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra said on Wednesday that the fare matrices would soon be posted online. "As suggested by the committee on transport, we'll make available the matrix on the website," Delgra said in a press briefing. According to some reports, the new fare martix costs P610, but Delgra clarified that it only costs P570. LTFRB clarifies jeepney fare matrix price: P560, not P610

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Wednesday clarified that the fare matrix for jeepney drivers costs only P560, not P610 according to some reports. LTFRB chairman Martin Delgra said the regulatory fee was per "franchise." Hence, it would cover more then one jeepney. In an interview withCNN Philippines' The Source, Delgra explained the cost structure of the fare matrix. He said the "regulatory fee" is P510 while the additional P50 covers the "admin cost" per jeepney.
