At the Iwahig Prison and Penal Colony, 70 inmates have been trained in efficient farm systems for rice and vegetable production. One inmate, referred to as Kamote, expressed his enthusiasm for the program, stating that the training has equipped him with the skills to lead a better life after his release. The project is aligned with President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.'s food security agenda and emphasizes the modernization of Philippine agriculture.
