UAAP suspends Sunday playdate due to Typhoon Ompong

The UAAP has announced the suspension of games on Sunday, September 16 due to continued rains caused by Typhoon Ompong.   University of the East was set to meet host school National University at 1:00 p.m. at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan, while UST was supposed to clash against UP in the 4:00 p.m. game. The games will be rescheduled on a later date. DAVAO CITY --- The Philippine National Police in Region 11 placed all police units on full alert status on Sunday night after another bomb went off in Isulan town, Sultan Kudarat that killed an 18-year old boy and wounded seven individuals. Police Chief Superintendent Marcelo Morales has ordered all police units in the city to strengthen security measures, according to Police Chief Inspector Milgrace Driz, spokesperson of Police Regional Office 11.
