DOJ wants state witness discharged from Espinosa drug case

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has asked the Manila Regional Trial Court to discharge Marcelo Adorco, former security escort and driver of self-confessed drug distributor Kerwin Espinosa as state witness. In a motion submitted on Monday to Manila RTC Branch 51, DOJ prosecutors said Adorco's testimony was "absolutely necessary as there is no other direct evidence available for the proper prosecution of the offense committed."
