  TRENTON, N.J. --- United States regulators have approved the first drug to prevent life-threatening infections in adults after a bone marrow transplant.   The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved on Wednesday the sales of Merck and Co.'s Prevymix (PREH'-vih-miss) to prevent infections with cytomegalovirus (sy-toe-MEG'-a-low-vy-rus), a common virus. It does not sicken most people, but strikes at least half of transplant patients, who are particularly vulnerable to infection. Suspected Cavite-Pasay drug traders face raps

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has filed charges against five drug suspected dealers arrested in two operations in Cavite. NBI Director Dante Gierran announced Wednesday that the suspects would be facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act No. 9165).. The suspects were identified as Maynard Alfaro, a former chairman of Barangay 134 in Pasay, and his brothers Jonathan Alfaro and Archie Alfaro, Romeo Laurenaria Jr., and Henry Moyano.
