Off the football field, Misagh Bahadoran only has his eyes on Sam Pinto

Popular as “the number 9 with the head band”, Misagh Bahadoran has been one of the most remarkable fixtures in the Philippine Azkals and the Cebu-based club Global FC as a powerful and unpredictable winger for both clubs. Since starting his career as a professional football player in 2006 under the Philippine national futsal team, he has greatly contributed to his teams and even became the main person to score the highly aspired goals. However, it took many years, hardships, and frustrations before he was able to don a national team jersey. He scored his first international goal in a 2-1 win for the Azkals in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification second round against Bahrain on June 11, 2015 and provided the Philippines’ first goal in a 2-0 victory against Yemen. The Fil-Iranian football player has done quite a lot to earn recognition in his football career, from his stints with the national team and club team Global Cebu FC.  However, behind Misagh’s ferocity and brilliance while on the football pitch hides a sweet boyfriend to actress-model Sam Pinto. Chatting with ABS-CBN Sports during the recent USANA Celavive press launch at the RCBC Plaza Hexagon Lounge, in which he’s one of the ambassadors of the skin care line, the 30-year-old Azkal related what keeps him occupied when he’s not playing. And it seems it’s only Sam on his mind. “Actually, I’m very busy everyday. I have training everyday. I’m travelling in different cities in different countries for the competition. But when I’m free, I try to hang out and spend time with Sam and watch a movie together and eat our lunch [or] dinner together as much as possible,” he beamingly shared. Fresh from a big tournament and looking forward to three more games with his teammates from Global FC Cebu and the Philippine Azkals, he also imparted that he could hardly find the chance to be in Manila and the country so much due to the series of competitions. Thus, he really tries his best to adjust his spare time with Sam and his family. During their days off, they often unwind at Sam’s boutique resort, L’Sirene, in Baler, Aurora and going on extreme adventures hand-in-hand. (Photo from Instagram.com/misagh_9) Anyone who would check out their respective Instagram accounts will either feel delighted or jealous for they can’t hide their affection towards each other. They are often spotted attending various posh events hand in hand, going fit together through yoga and surfing, or simply cuddling. Misagh even got his future planned out with his similarly entrepreneurial girlfriend. A dentistry graduate from Centro Escolar University, Misagh is running a dental clinic in Makati City that would assure him another career when he eventually decides to hang up his jersey. Indeed, everything looks bright, certain, and endearing for this paperback couple. .....»»

NBA launches augmented reality app

NBA press release NEW YORK – The National Basketball Association (NBA) announced today the launch of the NBA AR app, a new augmented reality (AR) experience that allows fans to play virtual pop-a-shot from any point in the world through AR technology.  This marks the first augmented reality game by a U.S. sports league.  NBA AR for iPhone is available for free on the App Store. Using the iPhone camera and ARKit technology, the app captures a player’s surroundings, pins an authentic NBA backboard and court into the real-world environment, and then uses the accelerometer in the iPhone to flick shots at the hoop before the 30-second shot clock expires.  Players can share their shooting sessions with friends (through iMessage, email or social media) or see how they stack up globally on the overall leaderboard. Fans also have the option to select their favorite NBA team to brand their environment and receive updates on the team’s upcoming games. “We’ve always said that basketball can be played virtually anywhere – and today that takes on an expanded meaning,” said Melissa Rosenthal Brenner, NBA Senior Vice President, Digital Media.  “Augmented reality presents a variety of fascinating engagement opportunities, so we hope our fans download the app and try out their skills wherever they might be.” NBA AR is available on iPhone 6s and later running iOS11, and was developed using ARKit.  Later this season, the NBA plans to introduce additional augmented reality experiences through the app......»»
