Taylor Sheeeesh! It’s not a moment, it’s a movement!
What started out as a “campaign” to encourage Taylor Swift to include the Philippines to her The ERAs Tour has morphed into its own thing. When Taylor Sheesh’s shows at Glorietta 4 and Trinoma immediately went viral, getting international media coverage, even international Swifties thought if anyone deserved a tour date just for sheer enthusiasm and verve, it was the Philippines. Alas, it was not to be. There were unsubstantiated rumors that Taylor’s team really wanted to come but our infrastructure was just not up to it. Just the logistics of Taylor jumping and swimming into a “pool”, a signature of the ERAs tour, seemed formidable. The challenges that have come to the fore with the recent Bruno Mars concert held at the Philippine Sports Arena also saw massive traffic jams and certain concertgoers only seeing the last two songs of Bruno Mars, if at all. When Taylor Swift added dates to the Singapore leg of her tour, it was largely thought to be a concession to Philippine fans, but the additional costs of plane fare and accommodation to already steep concert tickets still make it fairly inaccessible to most. And even if you can afford it, getting tickets is largely a lottery, as Swifties virtually flocked to Klook. As of this writing, all tickets to the Singapore concert have already been sold out. Enter Taylor Sheesh. Mac Coronel’s Taylor Sheesh have Pinoy Swifties flocking to his performances, which they have come to appreciate for their own thing, instead of a means to an end. Now, as Taylor Sheesh keeps adding shows, getting an honest-to-goodness tour of her own, local Swifties finally came to love the one they have. The post Taylor Sheeeesh! It’s not a moment, it’s a movement! appeared first on Daily Tribune......»»
